| Julio Pantoja www.juliopantoja.com.ar A documentary photographer and journalist, he received a degree in Architecture and Technical Photography from the National University of Tucumán. He teaches at the university and runs workshops in Documentary Photography and Expression. His own work forms part of public and private collections at the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes (Argentina) and the Casa de las Américas (Cuba), among others. He was the founder of the photography group La Máquina, and curator at the gallery Fotograma. He is the creator and editor of the agency Infoto and a founding member of the cooperative agency SudacaPhotos, specializing in Latin America. He is the director of the Argentine Biennial of Documentary Photography and has presented work at cultural events and photography festivals in Argentina, Peru, Mexico, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Brazil, Spain, France and the United States. His work appears in projects and publications from New York University, San Diego State University, University of California in Berkeley, Harvard University and the National University of Tucumán. He has been a member of the Hemispheric Institute of Performance and Politics since 2001. |
