"Despite being prohibited, look after us!"
This project intends to analyze the relation between the sacred/sacrosanct and the profane, the prohibitions and the strategies used by Beija-Flor de Nilopolis Samba School so as to be able to show religious images in the parade. The basis of this research will be the 1989 parade, the plot of which was "Ratos e Urubus, Larguem Minha Fantasia", and the work that has been developed by the Carnival Commission since 1998.
