Eight
people, six nationalities, twelve hours, twenty five
lamps and one classroom
Jill and Mike came with some ideas and lots of experience. That
is how they dealt with diverse people and adverse space. The workshop
was divided into a tripartite time structure - information research,
object selection and then effective depiction. Through the course
of four days, Jill and Mike steered the performers towards a complete
performance. Rather than impose their ideas on the group, they let
us explore. What was important to us? How could we show it simply?
And above all, was what we were doing real? |
