Practices Intangible heritage can be examined through the embodied practices transmitted from generation to generation—the performances of acts, rites, and the rituals of everyday life—making bread, preparing the offering, the vigil for the dead. Intangible heritage, by definition, cannot be stored through archival means—the texts or videos that withstand the passage of time—but through embodied practice.
